The paradox of public art is that its pervasiveness makes it invisible. Monuments and fountains, equestrian statues and grave markers, even heroic modernist abstractions mostly blend into the background of their day-to-day visibility.

Urban Art means "unsanctioned art", as opposed to officially sanctioned art. Also called 'street art', it does not mean that one is of higher quality, or even necessitate a different style. Urban art is often created under duress which sanctioned/approved art is not, and this constrains it. It is guerrilla art. Urban art is, however, free of any censorship, commercialism, and community mores which establishment art must hew to. This liberates it and makes it uncompromized; it is "pure art".

The start of an evening in the city | 22 mars 2007

Informally, the evening is the period in which the daylight is decreasing, between the late afternoon and night. Though the term is subjective, evening is typically understood to begin at twilight, sunset, the close of the standard business day, or 6:00 pm and extend until night -- typically astronomical sunset, 9 pm, or dark.

In the rural American South, "evening" ["e'enin"] is often used to describe the entire late afternoon, especially when the main meal of the day, dinner, is taken in the early afternoon; then "e'enin" is anytime after dinner.

Euphemistically the evening is also the latter part of a person's life.

Vespre

El vespre és la part del dia que va des de la tarda fins a la nit. Tradicionalment s'ha anomenat vespre al període de temps que transcorre entre l'ocàs del Sol i l'acció de sopar. En determinades zones s'anomena capvespre o poqueta nit.
